ArcGIS 10.1 Service Pack 1 (Language Packs) Released

Esri is pleased to announce that ArcGIS 10.1 Service Pack 1 is now available for download in the following languages:

Please download this service pack at your earliest convenience to take advantage of maintenance fixes, performance improvements, software enhancements, and translation updates; all of which will improve the quality of your ArcGIS system.

Note: For non-English service packs, there is no need to download and install both English and a language-specific service pack.

For details on what’s included, please see the list of issues that are addressed in ArcGIS 10.1 SP1.

ArcGIS for Server*

*The ArcGIS for Server service pack downloads are available on the Customer Care Site for customers who are current on software maintenance. To obtain the ArcGIS for Server Service Pack downloads, please follow the same process your organization uses to obtain Esri software.

GeoMentoring – Support Services goes to CC Griffin Middle School for GIS Day

Students were given GPS devices to help in a geocaching activity outside on school grounds. This was a fun way to incorporate GIS into an activity they could participate in. Later their tracks were uploaded and added to a map document for symbolization using ArcGIS Desktop.
