June 19th Esri Mid-Atlantic Water & Wastewater Special Interest Group Meeting

Esri is pleased to announce we’ll be hosting the Spring 2013 Mid-Atlantic Water & Wastewater Special Interest Group Meeting in our Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania office on June 19th.

During the meeting Esri will be showing how water utilities are leveraging newer Esri apps such as Operations Dashboard, Collector and Esri Maps for Office.  We’ll also present what’s new with ArcGIS for Water Utilities including a configuration of ArcGIS Online for water, sewer and stormwater and information products you can immediately deploy through ArcGIS Online to support workflows such as hydrant flushing, valve exercising, sharing service alerts with stakeholders and capital project coordination.

This meeting is free to attend and open to the water, wastewater and stormwater ArcGIS user community in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., West Virginia, New York City, Long Island and surrounding areas.

Best Practices for Building and Sharing Community Web Maps and Apps

Today’s technology has made it easier than ever to effectively share global information with the world. This information can be shared in a variety of ways, including web browsers, mobile devices, and desktop viewers. The Community Maps Team and ArcGIS Online encourage the creation and sharing of content. While sharing content is important, how we share this content may be even more important. Content and information is seldom useful if it is not well crafted and presented clearly. Version 10.1.1 of ArcGIS Runtime SDK for iOS now available!

At the start of this new year, we’re happy to announce that a new version of ArcGIS Runtime SDK for iOS is now available. . This release adds support for commonly requested functionality such as advanced military symbology, secure communication using PKI client certificates, simulating location updates, sorting and grouping query results, and much more. ArcGIS for Android 2.0.4 Update Available

We have updated the ArcGIS for Android app to address some important bug fixes that address concerns over usability and stability just in time for the Holidays!

Issues addressed in this update:

  • NIM084775 – map layers secured with the same credentials will prompt you once to sign in.
  • NIM084516 – ArcGIS now fully supports all of the editing options associated with a feature service.
  • NIM084565 – we have improved accuracy when using the Measure Tool with different units of measure.
