Water Utility Mobile Map and Leak Survey Mobile Map Product Lifecycle Announcement

At the June 2016 Solutions Release the Water Utility Mobile Map and the Leak Survey Mobile Map Solution Products will move to the Mature Lifecycle Phase.  Both products will move to the Retired Lifecycle Phase at the Solutions Release immediately preceding July 1, 2017.

The Water Utility Mobile Map and the Leak Survey Mobile Map are ArcGIS for Windows Mobile based applications. Their lifecycles follow the Product Lifecycle of ArcGIS for Windows Mobile.

It is recommended that organizations using ArcGIS for Windows Mobile use Collector for ArcGIS, Survey123 for ArcGIS, Workforce for ArcGIS or Explorer for ArcGIS to support their workflow needs.  Organizations that want to explore building custom mobile apps can refer to Building Apps to understand potential development paths forward.

Water Utility Mobile Map users should consider deploying a set of focused apps with Collector for ArcGIS and foundational network maps for mobile viewing and redlining of water, sewer and stormwater networks within any ArcGIS app.

Leak Survey Mobile Map users should consider deploying the Leak Survey Collector.

The Water Utility Mobile Map and Leak Survey Mobile Map are open source. After retirement, their shared source code will remain available on GitHub at https://github.com/Esri/water-utility-mobile-map.
