Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS Beta – November Update

Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS is an app that monitors assets, events, or activities for ‘at-a-glance’ decision making. It provides key insights about your data on a single screen. The latest beta update now includes the ability to configure interactive dashboards!! Learn more about this release in this GeoNet post.

Checkout some nice example dashboards that were created during holistic testing:

We also have some customers who are already actively leveraging Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS beta to support their business workflows. Click the images below to explore their dashboards. Note: these dashboards were created with earlier beta releases.

You can tryout Operations Dashboard beta now by logging into your ArcGIS Online organization.

We hope you enjoy these new features and please continue to share your feedback with us on the Esri Early Adopter community forums.

Is it possible to edit data?

    • Law says:

      Hi geethaka.fernando_actgov,

Currently Operations Dashboard does not have any edit tools, because that’s not the purpose of the app. The app is meant to display and summarize information efficiently to enable “at-a-glance” decision making. It is not intended for editing workflows at this time.

      Hope this helps,

Is it possible to keyword search data fields from the “details” widget? Thank you for your time!

    • Law says:

      Hi cityofnorthaugustagis,

The functionality is not available in the first Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS release, but is under consideration for a future update. Please post your enhancement request in the ArcGIS Ideas site. Thanks.

Serial Charts bars don’t conform to a pattern nor is there a way to set it that I can find. When hovering over a bar in the chart, values are shown out to 14 decimal places and need to show only 1 or 2 decimal places. I’m attempting to show miles of utility lines to only 1 decimal place in a serial chart. Is there a way to set the decimal places or allow an expression to be written in Arcade to Round the value to whatever we want?

Also would like to see the number displayed (sum, count, etc.) on the bar itself in the chart!

        Hi Jake,

Apologies for the late reply. For some reason, I did not get a notification email when you posted your comments.

        > Is there a way to set the decimal places or allow an expression to be written in Arcade to Round the value to whatever we want?

For serial charts, authors can turn on labels that show above the bars (Series tab, Labels property). The number formatting can be specified when it is turned on (directly below the Labels property).

For the Hover Text, it can be toggled on and off (Series tab, Hover Text property). The number formatting respects the pattern that is defined in the Value Axis tab. So you could change this, so something like #,###.0

We do not currently support arcade in elements at this time (with the exception of popups and Details elements when it is defined in the popup configuration in the Map Viewer).

        Hope this helps

What software is required for those using the dashboard? What licensing is involved? Thanks in advance for your response.

Is it possible to have more configuration options, such as selecting your own colors rather than a color ramp?
