Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS v2.6 Developer Edition Now Available!

FYI: Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS v2.6 Developer Edition is now available for download from the ArcGIS Developer’s Site.

This release includes the new capabilities that were recently added to the embedded Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS in ArcGIS Online last month. Please see this blog post for more details What’s New in Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS (September 2017).

On the SDK side, the following classes and methods have been added:

  • LayerNode — This class is an abstraction of the layer object from ArcGIS API for JavaScript. It contains the reference to the parent or child layers and allows you to access layers using a unified interface regardless of a root layer, sublayer, or layer type such as FeatureLayer, ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer, KMLLayer, and so on. It replaces the LayerInfo class, which has been deprecated.
  • LayerStructure — This class reflects the structure of the operational layers in the current map. It can be used to traverse and operate each layer and sublayer abstracted as a LayerNode in the LayerStructure. It replaces the LayerInfos class, which has been deprecated.
  • Utils — The getDisplayValueForCodedValueOrSubtype method gets the best display value for coded value and subtype fields.

Have fun with the latest Developer Edition update!

Search widget has a BUG always existed, starting from the 2.0 version, please fix that。When the basemap used Geographical coordinates, and the data also used Geographical coordinates, use search widget to search a location by keyword, the result is positioned to the wrong location,I had feedback on this question before, please fix this off as soon as possible。

Does anyone know if Esri offers any Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS Developer Edition specific training? We have Portal, and I want to make the next step up from just using Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS. I know HTML5, CSS, and a little bit of JavaScript. Would anyone else like this type of course or training? Thanks for your help.
