Hosted Feature Layer Views – A Practical Example

I had the pleasure of talking to a number of you at the Dev Summit recently and enjoyed all the great questions about hosted feature layer views. ¬†We thought it might be helpful to take the example I had used previously in my blog article and actually build each piece rather than just talk about it. Instead of trying to cram all of that into a blog post we’ve decided to publish it as a Story Map to allow you to interactively explore views and their flexibility. Click the image start exploring.

I would also like to extend a special thanks to the Town of Oakville for making their data available, and providing images to support the Story Map.

Hosted Feature Layer Views are awesome. If we could implement SOIs and SOEs on them, we’d be ready to abandon traditional Feature Services completely.
