Web scene specification now available

The web scene specification is the standard for scenes on ArcGIS platform. Web scenes are used as an exchange format across different products and they are a key element for displaying 3D data in ArcGIS Scene Viewer and ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4. The web scene standard ensures growing compatibility across the 3D platform and its products.

The specification is a guide for authoring, editing and consuming web scenes. It provides information on what properties are supported and how they should be used. We want anyone to be able to write applications that can read and write web scenes, so this week we released the web scene specification and we made it publicly available here.
