PerfQAnalyzer: New 10.5/10.5.x Version (Build172) Available for Download

The Performance Engineering team at Esri is excited to release a new build of PerfQAnalyzer (PQA) for ArcGIS Desktop 10.5.x.  This build (172) is the same version that we also recently released for Desktop versions 10.0-10.4, which we continue to make available.

PerfQAnalyzer contains powerful tools for assessing the performance of your GIS data, from rendering and feature editing to DBMS tracing and random spatial extent creation.  A comprehensive set of script commands allows you to automate your testing workflow, and detailed logging allows you to easily identify any performance bottlenecks.

Thank you for your feedback regarding PQA; we hope users appreciate the tool as much as our Performance Engineering group. We recently released a companion product, “PerfTools”, which brings similar performance-monitoring functionality to ArcGIS Pro.

    Hello ESRI,
I seem to have to go through a log in screen to get to the links to PerfQAnalyzer. Thus can not download the product. If you could help. Thanks

Is there a registry setting or some option to prevent the trace window from opening when starting ArcMap?

    • Ian Sims says:

Hi Ken! Thanks for downloading and using PerfQAnalyzer. Unfortunately there isn’t a registry option to prevent the main PerfQAnalyzer tabbed window from opening when starting ArcMap. You’re going to need to close the window using the “X” in the right-hand corner. A reminder, too, that you can enable/disable the PerfQAnalyzer extension by right-clicking in the toolbar area. -Ian.

The program PerfQAnalyzer.exe crash opening in Windows 7, Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 2008 R2.

      Hi hmantilla,

I’m sorry that you’re experiencing problems.

      1. Can you firstly confirm that you’re using the right version of the PerfQAnalyzer?
      2. Which version of ArcGIS Desktop are you running?
3, Can you also be specific about the crash–are you experiencing this when starting ArcMap, or when trying to access the PerfQAnalyzer toolbar?
      4. If ArcMap is crashing, can you still reproduce the crash if you remove/uninstall the PerfQAnalyzer?

      Thanks.

        Hi Ian.

I tried with 10.5, 10.4.1 and 10.4 (With his respective version -PerfQAnalyzer for ArcGIS Desktop 10.version-), but in all crashed, only work with 10.2 Desktop and PerfQAnalyzer for ArcGIS Desktop 10.2.

        Regards,
        Heriberto M.
