The “100 Lines or Less” ArcGIS JavaScript Code Challenge opens today!

Everybody loves a cool mapping app. Here’s your chance to write the coolest app in 100 lines or less with the ArcGIS API for JavaScript. To make things more exciting, we’ll announce the winners at the 2013 Esri International Developer Summit. You don’t need to attend the Dev Summit or be present to win however; it’s open to everyone. 

To participate, just submit your code entry on GitHub.

How do I enter?
Just visit the 100 lines or less js project on GitHub, fork the repository, and make a pull request to submit your code.  Learn more here.

What if I don’t have a GitHub account?
Now’s a great time to create one.  It’s super easy.  Just follow the steps here.

What can I win?
1. DevSummit 2014 pass and an ArcGIS Online Subscription

Do I need to be at the DevSummit to win?
No, all you need to do is submit your code.  Winners will be announced at the Summit however.

What is the judging criteria?

  2. Usability (UX)
  3. Creativity
  4. Coding style

What are the rules?
Just submit your application with 100 lines or less of ArcGIS JavaScript code in an ArcGIS.js file on GitHub. See all of the rules and terms and conditions here.
