It wouldn’t be UC without a little fun. Stop by the Mobile and Runtime SDKs Island in the Esri Showcase to get hands-on time with mobile GIS applications and developer frameworks for a variety of platforms. Our experts will be available to answer any questions you have about deploying these technologies and provide best practices and other tips to help you get up to speed with building and managing lightweight GIS apps.
We’ll have a series of light tables where you can test-drive mobile GIS applications on a range of smartphones, tablets, and rugged devices running Windows Mobile, ArcPad, iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Windows. If you’re more interested in application development, you‘ll be able to explore the various ArcGIS Runtime SDKs and mobile development frameworks at workstations throughout the island. There will also be special areas to give you a sneak peek at the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Mac OS X and the new ArcGIS Viewer for Windows.
When they’re not answering your questions, mobile and Runtime staff will be delivering a series of presentations at the Mobile and SDK Demo Theaters in the island. Esri partner Bradshaw Consulting Services will also be giving away the new iPad in a random business card drawing held during the Mobile GIS Special Interest Group Meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
Mobile devices, a free iPad, and ArcGIS on a Mac? What’s not to love? Make your way to the Mobile and SDK Island at UC and set your inner geogeek free.
