Do you want to make your maps even more attractive and easier to use? Visit the Map Critique Station at the Technical Support Island for a one-on-one session with a professional cartographer and get suggestions and helpful tips. You can make an appointment or simply stop by the island on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon.

Stopping by the Map Critique Station can help you turn a basic map (left) into a work of art (right).
Our cartographic experts will show you how to take advantage of tools in ArcGIS and provide guidance about best practices for map design. They will also explore your map’s message and offer advice on how to better tell your story through the map. Our goal is to equip you with new ideas and methods that will help you improve the way your map looks, as well as the entire map-making process.
While you can bring either a physical or digital map to Map Critique Station, we recommend a hard-copy map as you will be able to more easily document comments.
