New Changes Coming Soon to the Esri Online Support Gateway Page

Since the new Support gateway page was unveiled in April 2010, the Esri Support Services Web Content team within the Online Support Resources Program has been vigilantly reading and incorporating users’ suggestions to enhance and improve the Support gateway page (http://support.esri.com/en). In phase 1, we made sure to include direct links to useful repositories, such as Patches & Service Packs and Esri sites, such as ArcGIS Ideas and the ArcGIS Resource Center. In phase 2, we deployed the domestic version of My Support and most recently, Chat with an Analyst. Now, with phase 3 (planned for deployment in the weeks ahead – between now and the end of the year), we’ve organized the links, put focus on the ‘Support Center Alerts’ box (that must-have information), and standardized the login experience.

We’ve grouped the applications (buttons) together that require authentication through your Esri Global Account login, but now you only log in once-per-visit to enjoy the use of My Support, the Support Request Form, and Chat with an Analyst.

Post-log in, you’ll also be invited to contribute to the Forums and ArcGIS Ideas.

We’d like to thank everyone who helped us define the new requirements, design the changes, user test the sample(s), and code and format all the web page changes that bring these ideas to fruition.
