No matter what time of year it is, regardless of your interests, you can usually find something interesting and entertaining to do in Redlands. This weekend is certainly no exception, with several annual events taking place.
Run Through Redlands—This event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Redlands and is a community favorite. Many ESRI employees and their families participate. Proceeds from the run are distributed to local charities and used to provide scholarships to local youth. Events for wheelchair athletes and kids as young as three are also part of the day.
RHIS Flower Show and Garden Tour—Sponsored by the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society, this event is held in the ESRI Café. Local residents (including our own employees!) enter cuttings, plants, and arrangements in various categories. Special displays and a tour of local gardens are also included in the event.
YMCA Healthy Kids Day—Part of the Y’s national Activate America initiative, this event is full of free activities geared to help children and families adopt healthy lifestyles. Nutrition tips, crafts with our local Lowe’s store, play tips, and much more.
Redlands Professional Fire Fighters “Fill the Boot for MDA” fundraiser, Orange Muffin Festival, Redlands Symphony … the list of events goes on and on. With temperatures expected to be in the mid-70’s it should be a great weekend to get out and experience Redlands!
