The upcoming release of Esri Maps for IBM Cognos offers significant enhancements in the areas of report navigation, querying, and map display. Here are some highlights:
- Drill-through: Esri Maps for Cognos 4.3.2 is now fully integrated with IBM Cognos drill-through capabilities. Report authors can efficiently create reports that allow IBM Cognos report consumers to click on a map in a report to drill through to information on different report. Continue reading

Business Analyst 10.1 Performance Improvements – Really fast drivetime service areas
This is the second in a series of blogs about what’s new in Business Analyst 10.1.
Back when we released Business Analyst 10.0, I wrote a blog series where I illustrated some of the dramatic performance improvements of the Business search and data aggregation engines inside the ArcGIS extension. You can view these blogs here:

Now that we have released the Business Analyst 10.1, I thought I would highlight one of the key performance improvements of this release. Network Analyst drivetime service areas are dramatically faster with this release. Much like we improved the speed of the data aggregation and reporting in the 10.0 release, drivetime service areas are 60x +++ faster with this release. Continue reading
