If you are planning on attending the 2013 Esri Developer Summit in Palm Springs, please come and meet the Raster development team! Here are several presentations and events you can come meet us:
To build on the success of recent Developer Summit in California, we’ve decided to take the event on the road. Esri will be hosting 3 Dev Summits in Europe this September.
I hope developers from all over Europe and the world will come together in Rotterdam, Berlin or London (all 3 if you want). The technical sessions will focus on becoming more effective at building web, mobile and desktop applications. Senior Esri development staff will be presenting so you’ll get a chance to see what’s coming next. Registration information will be available soon but mark your calendar now and plan to join us in Europe.
It’s dev time of year again!
Members of the geodatabase team are carpooling down to Palm Springs with the beaksnake this week for the 2012 Esri Develper Summit.
We’re set up in the Esri Showcase area of the Palm Springs Convention Center, so swing by and meet the team, ask some questions, and find the right developer to talk to about your projects.
Craig Gillgrass will be ‘handing’ out complimentary high fives too, so be on the look out.
Esri Showcase hours:
Monday 11:00 am – 7:30 pm
Tuesday 12:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Wednesday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Meet The Team
Be sure to swing poolside on Tuesday between 6 – 9pm to chat with the geodatabase team at our Meet the Team session. Continue reading
The upcoming Esri Dev Summit 2011 will once again feature a user presentation track where you can showcase your development work, and share your tips, tricks, and ideas. If you’ve done something interesting or clever with ArcGIS Explorer, this is your opportunity to share with others.
The deadline for abstract submission is rapidly approaching – December 31st. Last year’s user presentation track was a huge success, and we’re anticipating an even better track this year.

Good showing at the BPC/Dev Summit thus far (is there ever a cloud in Palm Springs???). Our product team was huddled around the Commercial Island, demo’ing away and talking to partners. Many well attended tech workshops and demo theater presentations as well.
We always enjoy speaking to partners and users, and appreciate the attendance. Here are some familiar faces I had the pleasure of chatting with:
- Wayne Kocina of GeoWise in Boulder, CO: Rapped about the BAO 9.3 beta and some good enhancements (like accessing BAO from BA Desktop without logging in).
- Anne Desmarais of the Univ of Redlands in Redlands, CA: They want to deploy BA Server for analysis through the Inland Empire.
- Michael Stokes of Navigate Pty Ltd in Sydney, Australia: Always good talking with Michael, he’s always letting us know what he’s been up to and never seems to miss the BPC.
I leave you with a random shot of the Commercial Island…some interested parties checking out the offerings.
