The latest ArcGIS Online update brings a host of new functionality and possibilities to both cloud and mobile GIS. To leverage that functionality in the mobile world ArcGIS for iOS, Android and Windows Phone apps have been updated to support the latest ArcGIS Online functionality.

In addition to supporting the new features of ArcGIS Online, the latest smartphone and tablet updates narrow the functionality gap across the three platforms, giving our users more choice and making it easier to choose the device that makes sense for their organization’s workflows.
New features for all platforms include:
- Support for ArcGIS Online subscriptions
- Support for editor tracking and ownership based editing
- Support for services hosted in ArcGIS Online
- Support for additional languages (Norwegian, Polish, Swedish, Dutch, Romanian)
New Android specific features (v2.0)
- Switch basemaps
- View legend
- Simplified web map and basemap browsing
- Support for CSV by reference
- Improved support for self-signed certificates
New iOS specific features (v2.3)
- Support for WMS layers
- Support for CSV by reference
