With the recent updates to ArcGIS Online and changes to the landing page website, the link to Explorer Online was omitted. However Explorer Online can be opened directly by going to: http://www.arcgis.com/explorer/?map
Just bookmark the link above for easy access.
Explorer Online can also be opened from the item details for any map by clicking Open and choosing Explorer Online from the list of applications:

The application can also be opened from the ArcGIS Explorer Online product information page on esri.com.
For more information see the Explorer Online help.

Does this mark the beginning of the end for Explorer Online?
Same question: Please answer, when it is nearly not possible for new user to find the Explorer Online as a product, what are the further plans concerning the Explorer Online?
i hope its not going away. Isn’t this where you can cutomize pop-ups and push the changes back to your service…download the json file for a mobile service, etc?
It also supports editing, bu its the only ESRI service that doesn’t support secured services (unless the recent changes prove otherwise).
I hope Explorer Online is not going away. I use it in university classes that I teach and for which I provide support. The query tool and presentation feature are unique and make this a much better introduction to ArcMap than the standard map viewer.
I’m right in the middle of working with several faculty members on “GIS enhancement” to their non-GIS, non-Geography courses. Explorer Online is a central tool for us. I need to know whether it will be there in the future or not.
