Radial Flow Line Visualization Of Trouble Reports?

I recently read this article from our maps and cartography team on the topic of Radial Flow Lines and it got me thinking about the potential uses of it for visualizing customer data, more specifically call detail records within a telecom network.

Think about the situation within a wireless network where the customer has a constantly moving location and there are no fixed lines to visualize between the customer and the network. This tool might have some interesting uses for visualizing call problems for specific groups of call detail records (CDRs).

Imagine flow lines between small numbers of problem area CDRs and the towers the calls are associated with. People can make that association today in other ways but this would be a very clear and concise way of representing such information.

Unfortunately i don’t have any data that i can (legally) use and show the results of such analysis.

Anyway just some food for thought. Check out the article.
