The beta 1 release of ArcGIS Desktop 10.1 is now available. If you have pre-registered for the beta program you should have gotten an email with instructions on how to download the beta software. If you have not yet joined the program go to the new ArcGIS Beta Community site and sign up today.

Will we need a 3D Analyst to view the LAS Data in 10.1?

Hi Sanj,
At 10.1 you will be able to create a LASdataset from your las files and view them as a layer in ArcMap. You’ll need the 3D Analyst extension for editing, converting to TIN and analyzing LASdatasets. This includes the Profile and 3D preview in ArcMap.
