Someone pointed out to me that Esri’s CEO, Jack Dangermond recently did an interview that focused on web mapping. You can read and hear it here: http://radar.oreilly.com/2009/04/jack-dangermond-interview-web-mapping.html.
In fact, he is talking about what we on the Mapping Center team have been helping with recently – map templates. These map templates are being created to give users a starting point to create their own maps and to share cartographic designs for web maps. We are planning to make a number of them available prior to the User Conference.
