About Jon Kimerling

A. Jon Kimerling is Professor of Geography at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. He has studied at the University of Washington and the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and has taught cartography and map use at the University of Wisconsin and Curtin University in Perth, Australia. Professor Kimerling has published widely on topics of cartography, remote sensing, and geographic information systems. He has served as President of the American Cartographic Association, head U.S. Delegate to the International Cartographic Association, and editor of the American Cartographer (now Cartography and Geographic Information Science).
