Michael Kim, director of ESRI Support Services, and Jim Barry, EDN Manager, will present awards to the incentive program winners. Invitations with the event details have been sent to program participants. (Be sure to RSVP!) Winners who are unable to attend the ESRI UC will be contacted to make arrangements for award delivery.
Although the 9.3 Release Candidate Program has ended, we hope you will continue to participate in the success of future beta programs.
Thank you again for your enthusiasm for ESRI Software and all of your efforts during this Release Candidate program.
Sincerely,

These Beta packages are now available for download here.
- Existing Web applications in ArcGIS Server Java do not upgrade correctly to ArcGIS Server Java 9.3 Release Candidate. Existing Web apps created in ArcGIS Server 9.2 do not display a map correctly when using ArcGIS Server Java 9.3 Release Candidate. This issue occurs because the upgrade process corrupts the reference to the Map Service. To correct this issue, edit the existing Web application and re-add the layers.
1) Open Server Manager and go to the Applications tab. 2) Select 'Edit' (the pencil icon to the right of the details). 3) Select 'Layers' on the left-hand side of the screen. 4) Remove all Map Services listed in the dialog box. 5) Re-add the Map Service and save the Web application. 6) Deploy the Web application and launch it to confirm the map now displays.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: How do I obtain the authorization codes for Release Candidate software?
A: Instructions are provided near the bottom of page 1 of the cover letter that was shipped with the product. If the cover letter was lost, here are the instructions:
"Registration is required for the single use, ArcGIS Engine, and ArcGIS Server Release Candidate products. Pregenerated authorization files are included on the distribution media for each product to allow software use until October 15, 2008. The files are located on the DVDs under the EA folder at the root level of the media. Use these files to complete the registration process for the software you install."
- Q: Is it correct that if everyone closes out of ArcMap one can install the new license manager on the old machine and everything will still work?
A: Yes, one can replace the old license manager with the new license manager if everyone is closed out of ArcMap. For more information, please see the download site for 9.3 license manager.
