The ESRI Business GIS Summit was a great success again this year, with innovative examples of GIS use from business professors who presented in the University of Redlands Academic Track to users of ESRI software in the paper sessions. The ability for summit attendees to attend the ESRI International User Conference Plenary Session on Monday and various sessions Tuesday and Wednesday, including technical workshops and numerous special interest groups, meant there was something for everyone to learn, absorb, and talk about.

One person who is continuing the discussion of GIS adoption in commercial business is Bruce Bigelow, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, who currently works with Xconomy, a multi-media forum dedicated to providing business and technology leaders with timely, insightful, close-to-the-scene information about different trends in today's high-tech economy.
