Students currently enrolled at US community colleges are eligible to apply for an Award consisting of:

1) AAG Conference Registration to AAG meeting in Washington, DC
2) One year AAG membership
3) Travel expenses stipend to help cover costs - up to $500

Applicants are also encouraged to submit a poster or paper, but it is not mandatory. Also students should look at the Darrel Hess award for Community College Geography Scholarship program http://www.aag.org/Grantsawards/hess.html This $1,000 award is to cover college expenses for students transferring to four year university as geography majors.
