Libraries Celebrate GIS Day
February is Library Lovers' Month -- a month-long celebration of school, public, and private libraries. Libraries offer a variety of services to support the use of GIS, including acquiring data, collecting relevant books and journals, helping patrons locate and evaluate data, providing GIS instruction, and providing access to software.
Just as Library Lovers' Month recognizes the value of libraries, GIS Day is a celebration of the remarkable contribution GIS technology is making in our lives every day.
