There is a special celebration taking place on campus tonight. Thirty-two employees will be honored in recognition of their 20 year anniversary with ESRI. The mild temperatures we’ve been having recently will be the perfect setting for the honorees and their guests to enjoy a reception and dinner on the patio.

The employees being honored represent a wide range of departments including Software Development, Product Development, Professional Services, Educational Services, Human Resources, Sales, and Marketing. Among the honorees are staff from five ESRI regional offices: Charlotte, Denver, Minneapolis, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C.

The careers team recently asked Matt, an employee in Marketing, to reflect on his 20 years with ESRI. “In 1989, I wasn’t looking for a job—I was looking for a company where I could spend the rest of my working life (an odd and somewhat unlikely goal for someone in their mid-twenties?). Twenty years later, the decision to come to ESRI was still possibly the best decision I ever made,” said Matt. “Watching (and helping) the company grow, being constantly challenged, and being surrounded by lots of smart and caring people has been more than just rewarding—it’s literally changed my life.”
