GeoTec Media announced the winners of its annual Geospatial Leaderhip Awards earlier today, and in the Private Enterprise category ArcGIS Explorer was recognized, bringing the award to ESRI. The Private Enterprise Award is:

"...given to a private organization that has either successfully extended GIS throughout its enterprise or contributed significantly to the advancement and adoption of geospatial technology."

We're pleased that with ArcGIS Explorer ESRI was recognized for contributing to the advancement and adoption of geospatial technology.

The award was sponsored by Microsoft Virtual Earth. Honorable mentions in the category included Google Earth.
